Miss Oregon

In 1969 Oregon legislature designated Miss Oregon as the official state hostess during her reign.

The Miss Oregon Scholarship Program is a nonprofit corporation established solely to provide contestants with the opportunity to enhance their professional and educational goals by providing assistance through monetary grants and awards. The Miss America Organization is the largest provider of scholarships for women in the world (making over $30 million in scholarship funds available annually). Katie Harman brought the Miss America title home to the state of Oregon for the first time in 2002 (the 81st Miss America).
